Meet Stephan Barrington DDS

Dr. Barrington earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University, where he maintained placement on the Dean’s List and received recognition for research during his dental training. He was selected for the Navy’s Health Professions Scholarship Program and served as a commissioned dental officer in the United States Navy. His military service shaped a strong sense of responsibility, precision, and ethical judgment, particularly in environments where decisions must be thoughtful rather than rushed.
In practice, Dr. Barrington emphasizes comprehensive general dentistry with attention to prevention, bite and airway health, and long term function. He provides dental implant placement and restoration for select cases, approaching each situation with careful planning and respect for biological limits. When care extends beyond what can be appropriately provided in the office, he works closely with trusted specialists to ensure patients receive the most suitable treatment without unnecessary referrals.

Meet Peter Rittenhouse DMD
Dr. Rittenhouse has joined the the practice as an associate dentist. With him, he brings a genuine passion for building lasting relationships with patients of all ages. For Dr. Rittenhouse, dentistry isn't just about treating single issues, it's about comprehensive long term care. Every visit starts with a conversation, because understanding a patient's concerns, history, and goals is the foundation of great care.

He believes an informed patient is a comfortable patient, and takes the time to walk through every step of treatment in clear, everyday language. Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Rittenhouse provided dental care to veterans at the San Diego VA Medical Center, an experience that deepened a commitment to compassionate, patient-first treatment for people from all walks of life. That dedication to service now shapes the welcoming, judgment-free environment he strives to bring to every appointment at the Barrington Dental Group.
Outside of work, Dr. Rittenhouse is an avid golfer, outdoorsman, and tennis player. He is always happy to discuss anything golf or your favorite hike in San Diego.
